Sierra Designs Hyperlight Tent 3-Person 3-Season - 2007 BCS

Light, good size inside, 3 people is stretching it, but it can fit everyone inside in a pinch, without the gear obviously. I've had it for 3 years now, used in complete downpour, 30+ winds. It's a great tent, 5lbs a 2-3 person tent is pretty nice, Doesn't come with a footprint however, and sierra designs doesn't make one anymore, so will have to make one out of a nylon tarp and some gussets, but should be fine.
No issues with it what so ever. I'm going to waterproof it this year, the DWR has diminished a little, but still wont let water in. Love the two doors

Very stable tent and very water proof. However, the description is pushing the limits by calling it a 3 person tent. Not sure who designed this tent but two people over 5'10 don't fit well. The tent ends in a V shape. Which doesn't really work well for a tent. Might work well for smaller folks. The vestibules are accommodating for gear so you do save a bit of room there. Build quality good but design poor.

I do think that the 3 person rating is a little bit of a stretch, but i have done a week with two others and the only place that felt constricting was down at the feet. The kite shape of the tent allows for an arrow placement into the prevailing wind. I has held up to some really windy days when placed point into the wind.
