The Sierra Designs Hyperlight AST footprint provides an extra layer of 70d 3 oz nylon teffeta precisely fitted underneath the Hyperlight AST, which will help reduce wear and tear on your tent's floor and extend its life.

Great fit for the Hyperlight AST Tent

The footprint fits my Hyperlight AST pretty well. The footprint stake loops tend to be a little farther out than the tent stake loops, but the pole grommets line up nicely. The material is not much thicker than the tent floor, but definitely adds a layer of protection. It worked great on a 2 day hike, as it packs down light and can fit in the AST's included tent bag. It also includes a mesh stuff sack and hook-and-loop strip for securing the poles if you want to use the rain fly/footprint option.

Used this footprint while on a 2-week pack in Alaska. Great for all kinds of terrain and keeps most, if not all, moisture out (even in a downpour). Gotta hand it to Sierra Designs when it comes to tents and tent accessories.
