Sierra Designs' Hurricane Parka is a lightweight, waterproof breathable jacket designed to keep you dry in deluge conditions without breaking your budget. Two-ply Hurricane fabric and fully taped seams keep the rain from getting in, while the breathable laminate and Sierra Designs' patented Extremity Vents extending from the wrist to upper arm allow moisture vapor to escape—so your core won't smother. This light jacket wouldn't work if you're hiking the rainforest, but for everyday rain and light wind it does a great job. The hood is the first I've found to fit me properly, without falling into my eyes, and without falling off. The under sleeve zippers does keep you cool, but also lets in a little rain if your being very active. Otherwise this is a great lightweight buy.

love the color and the underarm zippers are great for ventilation, however the front zipper gets stuck occasionally.

I love the way the jacket looks and feels. Love the color, have even had a few compliments! All is great except that the zipper has come apart at the bottom a few times while still zipped in the middle. This has left me, not only feeling frustrated, but also looking like a trapped animal as I flail around for a few minutes trying to either get it to zip back together or unzipping it completely. Other than those few desperate moments of spastic zipper action, two giant thumbs up! ;P
