The Sierra Designs Men’s Hurricane HP Pant provides lightweight and fully waterproof protection for backpackers, hikers, and anyone else in danger of being caught in a rainstorm. The Polyurethane-coated ripstop nylon features fully-taped seams for a completely waterproof pant that stows in its cargo pocket when the sun is shining. You won’t notice the small package in your pack on bluebird days, but you will notice the articulated knees, streamlined elastic waist and 12-inch ankle zip when that afternoon thunderstorm rolls in.
Bottom Line: Light, compressible, and waterproof – everything you need in a rain pant.

It is a great pants for trail and light treking. it can hold the rain out and have a good breathable qulety. but for havey treking it's no good. the fabric not strong enough and the breathable is not good for hard times

Have only worn commuting to and from work but they are fine and lightweight enough to throw in my shoulder bag for overcast days just in case they're needed. The bottom zips are large enough to fit over my trail shoes without having to remove them, which in my opinion is essential for any rain pant.
