Flashlight 2 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

You and your backpacking buddy are surprisingly comfortable with all the space you have in the lightweight Sierra Designs Flashlight 2 Tent. The designers at Sierra Designs blended single-wall and double-wall constructions—which they call hybrid construction—in order to give you a tent that's as light as a single-wall tent but still weather-protective like a double-wall tent. This unique design helps you set this tent up quickly in bad weather, and it gives this tent more space than conventional backpacking tents without any added weight. In fact, this tent has two eight-inch awnings over both drop doors to give you a dry space to cook comfortably in poor conditions, and the drop doors have large openings so the two of you can enjoy the view from the comfort of your sleeping bags. Gear closets to the sides of the tent offer plenty of space for both of your backpacks and shoes so you two don't have to climb over your gear when you go to bed.  

Sierra Designs built the floor out of ripstop for durability, the fly out of polyester taffeta to keep it light, and the body out of no-see-um mesh for ventilation. Not only do the walls provide a lot of ventilation, but the construction of the tent enhances airflow to keep you comfortable while you sleep during a hot summer night. This non-freestanding tent comes with a superlight DAC Pressfit pole and two vertical poles that you can replace with your trekking poles if you want to shave six ounces off your load.
