I've given these a workout from running around out in the snow to just using them as slippers in the house. Light enough that I'd throw them in my pack, but still enough to keep the warmth in and the water out. Very pleased with these. I've had multiple friends say "i need a pair of those" after seeing/trying mine

Just what the doctor ordered

I had the lower part of my spine fused a year ago and since then, I have struggled with getting shoes, boots, and socks on. Many times, I have had to get one of my kids to help me. Since I don't always have someone around to help me, I needed to wear something besides my tennis shoes with Vecro rather than shoelaces, especially during the winter that is easy for me to deal with. These down booties are fairly easy to get on and very, very easy to get off, which is exactly what I needed. I wish that there was a larger size since my size 11 1/2 - 12 feet go in a little snug in the largest size that is sold. But, it is not so bad that I have great difficulty getting them on.
Never think that these are waterproof, just water reistant. Also, I don't always feel that my foot stays centered on the sole as well as it should when I walk. Still, I don't think that these are designed to be worn around town all the time like regular boots so for the little bit I wear them, they are great.
They keep my feet warm without my feet sweating. And, they are high enough that as long as I don't step into a deep pile of snow, I don't get snow inside them like I would with similar booties that are a few inches shorter in height.
If I lost these booties, I like them enough that I would almost certainly replace them with the same model from Sierra.

Are these machine washable / dryable?

Sierra Designs Down Booties

These are great. Sole does well on the snow. They run small so order 1 size up.

Mostly for around the house, in all honesty, but every once in a while I suck it up and go winter camping, and occasionally I'm not going super light. And then I get to bring these and revel, yes, revel in how warm and cozy my toes are.
