Whether you’re lounging by the campfire or backpacking through the high peaks, the Sierra Designs Women's Chockstone Jacket keeps you toasty warm and eco-friendly thanks to PrimaLoft Eco recycled insulation. A Drizone waterproof coating blocks moisture in anything short of a downpour, and two zippered hand pockets keep your mitts warm. When it’s time to hit the trail, the Chockstone packs up small until chilly temps return.

Bottom Line: Fend off cold and wet wilderness conditions with the Chockstone.

Perfect!

I have never owned a more versitile jacket! I am 5'0" 120lbs, and the small fits me perfect with room for a a thick fleece. For its weight, this jacket is extremely warm. It also works for chilly New England fall/spring days as well. It has kept me dry in downpour and completely cuts the wind, but is still breatheable. I've had it for a full year, worn the crap out of it skiing, winter camping, and climbing but it still looks and feels new. I have a closet full of jackets but always come back to this one for just about everything. Not to mention it looks great. I'd give it more stars if I could.

Great mid-layer

This is a great insulating layer, or can wear it just by its self! The thumb hole is great to keep it from creeping up as you layer up on the cold blizzard days. Plenty of pockets to store goods! I like that it doesn't have a hood, so it's not too bulky when adding my shell. So far it has withheld the cold Bozeman winter days...I would recommend this jacket for sure.

great jacket, but had to return

By:

i was looking for a jacket to climb with in case i got caugt on a cold belay. though it lacked a hood (i like one that goes over the helmet), it had pretty much all the other features i was looking for. sturdy ripstop waterproof material with primaloft insulation. had double zippers (good for the harness) and pockets a plenty. so why did i return it? it was too short on the torso! i'm 5'5" and about 110 lbs, so i tried both the XS and S. XS was fine with arm length, but the length of the jacket was too short and allowed drafts to come up. the S was still too short, and didn't hug my body as well... even while sitting around camp, i felt a draft on my lower back. what a real shame. had it been 2 inches longer, it would've been a keeper.
