Wrap yourself in comfort.
Don't haul a sleeping bag around when all you need is a sweet blanket like the Backcountry Quilt SYN from Sierra Designs. The poly-fiber synthetic insulation keeps you nice and toasty, and, unlike down insulation, it won't give up when you spill a bit of wine on it around the fire before heading to bed. An integrated hide-away hood really elevates the Backcountry Quilt above other, similar-style choices. Full-length, insulated arm and hand pockets along the side allow the quilt to not only tuck around you easily, but also lets it move with you as you roll around, thereby avoiding having the quilt open up and letting in lots of cold air.

Innovative gear at it's finest!
To be fair, this purchase wast bought for outdoor use. Sure, I spent a few days on the AT with my 4yo daughter for her April vacation. The backcountry quilt performed flawlessly in the woods. I'm a firefighter/ paramedic. I bought this to use at the firehouse. Usually, we get 14-18 calls on a 24 hour shift. The first shift that I had my backcountry quilt, I sat down in the recliner hoping for a 30 minute snooze. I woke up 4 hours later. Then, that night, we had a no-hitter and slept all night. I've been a paramedic for 18 years and I can count on one hand how many nights I've got to sleep.
