Don't be afraid to crawl into the belly of this beast—the Sierra Designs Asp 2-Person, 3-season Tent swallows big meals, but its ultra-light design keeps it backpacker friendly. The weather-shunning, PU-treated fly and SuperSeal floor create a completely dry domicile—the days of fearing far-off clouds are over. The Asp's 2 opposing doors offer easy escape for either occupant when bladders bitch for middle-of-the-night catharsis. A combination of Quick Pitch Swivel Hubs, Swift Clips pole connectors, and color coded webbing means easy pitching, clement weather or not. Sierra Design’s Reverse Combi pole design creates more room to move, and if you really want to unleash the snake look of the Asp 2, you can use a pair of trekking poles to prop up a “yawning” awning. This ultralight tent weighs in at just under five pounds.

beacuse the footprint is something that you put under the tent to protect it and make it live longer, alot longer. without it it would weigh less
