Make the leap from ordinary men's cycling shoes to the Genius 5, and experience the renowned fit and function of Sidi shoes. The Millenium2 sole (a mix of nylon and fiberglass) transmits every ounce of effort directly to the pedal while anatomically supporting your foot for comfort on long training rides. Lorica synthetic leather and mesh uppers provide durability, precision fit, and ventilation for the summer months, while the Ultra SL instep buckle gives secure hold and allows instantaneous adjustment, even on the fly.
Bottom Line: Step into Italian road cycling expertise.
Hi: I recently ordered a pair of Sid Genius 5 shoes and the size 46 seems just a bit too tight. I think I'd be better off with a pair of 46.5 shoes, but I don't see that listed on your available drop-down list. Does that mean I won't be able to exchange them for the right size?
You can always go to "Talk to gear experts" at the bottom of this page. They may be able to tell you if they are getting any more in. Otherwise, here are a couple more choices on this website.Sidi Zephyr Carbon Composite Bike Shoe - Men's 46 wide $209.95Sidi Zeta Bike Shoe - Men's 46.5 $145.59
No, you will need an adapter. Unfortunately I could not find it here on BC but they are widely available for ~$20. Search online for Side Cleat Adapter...
I have ridden this shoe or its ancestors for 8 years now, one of which was spent earning my living on a bicycle. I will only ride Sidi for several reasons, first of which (especially now that I have to buy my own gear again) is that you can order every part on this shoe if you need to replace a buckle or something. I've got a pair of Genius shoes that I bought 5 years ago and they are still going strong after very heavy use. Nothing in cycling compares to the durability of Sidi road shoes. Their customer service is also great if you need it.

That 46.5 is correct. I wear b/w a 10.5-11 and SIDI 45 fits me spot on. So, you should be good with the 46.5s.I found the best way to get the right Sidi fit is usig the Sidi Sizer linked here:http://www.sidiusa.com/contents/en-us/SIDIShoeSizer.pdf

I am looking for bike shoes as a Christmas gift. All I was told about the rider is he wears a 42 European, 8,1/2 American, and he has speed play clips. Is the Genius 5 Bike shoe what I need? He is a thin guy and has narrow feet.
This would be about the best choice you could make! They're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and they last a really long time. What a cool gift! We need more kind giver's in the world just like you:)
No these are not 100% carbon, they are millenium II Soles (which is a combination of nylon and fiberglass). The information stating that this has a carbon sole is erroneous and will be fixed ASAP!
These shoes rock for several reasons. They are Italian made and show it with fine quality and finish. They fit my slightly wide foot well and breathe very well, even on hot summer rides. They have held up well and show little wear after years of use. The carbon sole is stiff as all get up and really transfers well the energy of my pedaling into the forward and upward motion of the bike. This is one of the coolest aspects of road biking - the power transfer from me so directly to the bike and having stiff shoes bring it all together and help you fly!
