We all crash, there's no escaping it. And whether you just fall over at a red light, or if it's something a wee-bit more high speed, you can bet your bottom dollar that you'll scrape the daylights out of your STI levers. The name plate tends to take the brunt of the damage, but thankfully Shimano makes these plates available for aftermarket purchase. You can make the most visible part of your lever look good as new again with the use of a Phillips head screwdriver and about 15 seconds of your time. FYI: Dura-Ace 7800 plates are identical for both left and right.
