Ditch those flimsy neoprene shoe covers and step into the Gore-Tex-lined Shimano SH-MW81 Winter Cycling Shoe for total protection the next time you’re riding through harsh conditions. The SH-MW81 features Shimano’s Volume Performance last, which is wider in the toe box and across the ball of the foot for added comfort and stability. The extra room also allows for custom orthotics to fit easily. The MW81 has a fiberglass-reinforced polyamide sole that’s stiff for efficient power transfer, yet it is also designed to flex for improved comfort. Shimano used a tough, stretch-resistant synthetic leather for the upper, and includes reflectors on the back and sides of the shoe for added visibility. And to secure the perfect fit, the MW81 features three hook-and-loop straps that have been offset to prevent pinching and unwanted pressure.
