    XC efficiency with all-mountain grit.

The Shimano Men’s SH-M200 Mountain Bike Shoes combine the low weight and efficiency of XC shoes with the sturdy construction of AM shoes to protect your feet while you charge whatever trail you please. Focused on the needs of all-mountain riders, the M200s use a blend of tough synthetic leather and multi-layered, breathable polyester mesh for a durable and breathable outer skin. Speed-lacing closures cover up with hook-and-loop panels for extra shielding on the top of your feet, helping to keep the dirt out. Each shoe’s collar has an ankle guard that protects from accidental crank arm contact and collisions from unseen obstacles. The Torbal carbon-reinforced midsoles allow for natural foot motion on the downhill and still provide enough sole stiffness (eight on Shimano’s 1-10 scale) for XC pedaling efficiency. Relatively high-volume toe boxes provide forefoot comfort, and variable-density rubber outsoles are lugged for aggressive traction.

    Comfort, Performance, Great Value

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I got this to replace a thrashed pair of old shimano spd shoes. Fit is good (medium volume foot--I don't seem to have issues getting a decent fit with shoes) and true to size in my estimation. These have become my all-around dirt riding shoes--basically all my trail rides and now even bikepacking. They have enough flex and cleat coverage that I can walk comfortably in camp or into a convenience store when out for several days and resupplying. A word of warning--in trying on sizes in the store, I pulled a quick lace right off... In use, I generally only ever adjust the quick lace system if I'm doing something dramatically different for socks (heavy wool for cool weather vs thin in summer) as the main ratchet strap buckle provides all I need to secure these. I like them so much, I bought a 2nd pair in another color when in Europe this summer. My other spds are sitting unloved...

    Super Solid Performer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I have Biked with these shoes several times now and I am thrilled with these babies. When snapped in they feel awesome, cool design with the flap over the pull string and then the ratchet strap. I ride the finger lake region of New York so often I have to grab the bike and walk on rocks to cross ravines and the footing I get with these over my last pair is night and day. Its too early to discuss the long term durability, but I am thrilled with performance so far and I bought this pair from BC for less than 150 skins?.

Is this shoe available to order in the wide type ? If so, how do I go about doing so ?

Any idea if they will be coming out with wide sizes in the near future?
