Description

Just because they call it gravity riding doesn’t mean you bike has to weigh a ton.

Shimano used the Hollowtech II design from their XTR and Dura Ace lines to drop 150g from the new Saint FC-M810-1 Crankset and increase the crank arms’ stiffness by 200%. This super light yet burly crankset comes with heavy-duty steel inserts where the pedals attach to ensure bomber durability. This crankset is designed for use with a single chainring (34, 25, 38, 41, or 42T) and a bashguard (all sold separately).

Looking at the detail view of the spider, it looks like there are bolt holes for say, a 34tooth ring and bashguard, as well as a 22tooth granny. Can you run middle and little rings on this crank? Perhaps I read it wrong when it says for use with a single ring and bashguard?

No, you cannot run a granny gear. The holes arent threaded...I found out the hard way.

Write your question here.. Do the Saints come in the size 180?

Responded on

The saints do not come in a 180. They are available in 165mm, 170mm, 175mm. I am not sure what bike a 180mm DH crank would be a good fit on.
