Description

50% responsible for a 50% improvement in braking performance.

Along with the corresponding calipers, the Shimano Saint BL-M810 Hydraulic Disc Brake Lever Set provides a 50% increase in stopping performance over previous iterations. Shimano has refined the lever shape to shorten your reach and make your squeeze feel more natural, whether you use one or two fingers. Shimano’s Servo Wave variable mechanical advantage system adjusts over the course of a lever pull to maximize pad/rotor contact and facilitate surgical modulation. The tool-free reach adjustment feature lets you dial your levers even as you ride. You can even tune the stroke to adjust the amount of lever travel before the pads reach your discs. A stiffer hose resists stretching at high brake fluid temperatures to reduce fading.

Highly recommend this upgrade even if you don't run Shimano Saint's!

Super braking performance!

If you want awesome braking performance, seriously consider the Saints! These things grab with little effort!

It took me a while to figure out how to modulate them so have patience!

I wasn't too sure on the performance of mineral oil versus DOT 5 fluid. I no longer have those concerns. Though they did feel a bit spongy after one of the long runs at Mammoth, it didn't take long for them to come back to life again.

If you want to improve the braking performance, pair these up with the Shimano ICE Tech rotors! They cost a bit more than the stock rotors but they do dissipate the heat better/faster.

Super braking performance!

Serious stopping power.

I put these on my all-mountain bike with Saint calipers and it was serious overkill. I have taken them off and replaced with Juicy's cuz I don't need that much power.

I have been trying to sack up and buy a DH frame and these will definitely go on it!

Holy Powerful brakes!

I have these brakes on my DH and freeride bike. My freeride bike runs smaller rotors with these brakes than I did before. The modulation is great and the power is HUGE! I use one resin and one sintered pad and the feel is great. These brakes have an awesome feel to them. Its a really natural feel when squeezing the brake. These are a huge improvement from the previous lever style.
