I got the 220CM version of this paddle this past fall. I found it to be a very nice paddle for general, fresh water usage. Rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, etc. The only problem I found is that the 220cm length is too short for me. So, I've ordered the 230cm version. Both my wife and I like the placement of the ergonomic handles. Which are placed at the optimum position on the shaft. They are light weight (only 33oz) and are a decent price point for a carbon fiber shafted, recreational use kayak paddle. I found myself flying around the lake I tried it out on. But, I would not use this paddle in the ocean as the previous poster apparently did. And if I did, I would spray the twist joint with a bit of WD-40 or some other lubricant afterwards. In my opinion this is a decent, carbon fibered shaft paddle at a decent price.

I got this for my wife and it has the nice Crips, but not good if you plan on advancing your paddle skills. It makes you place your hands in only one area of the paddle. The clasp will rust out if you use it in the salt water. Hers rusted out and broke and now the new screw in plane rusted in. Last time we buy this type of paddle.
