Use the Sea to Summit Sn240 Ultra-light Compression Sacks to make the most of your backpack's capacity. These storage sacks can reduce your gear by up to 1/3 its original size without adding more than a couple ounces in weight. Sea to Summit designed the Sn240 Compression Sacks with extra long straps that allow you to fill the sacks to the brim. Four straps compress items evenly, while the Flip-Top-Lid design prevents strap tangling. The 30D Cordura ripstop fabric is silicon-infused for waterproofing up to 2.8 psi, and its slippery finish eases packing when you have limited space left in your pack. The Sn240 features a pull handle on the bottom for easy retrieval. These sacks come in assorted colors—we can't control which color you get, but we're sure you'll like it.

Bottom Line: Optimize the space in your backpack by compressing your gear in Sea to Summit Ultra-light Compression Sacks.

Great Bag

By:

Great bag. Wish the XL was available, as I have a larger sleeping back that could use the breathing room when not cinched down. Weighs nothing and the straps are a snap to sort out when stuffing. Just need that next larger size...

I love these sacks. Super light weight but so strong. I bought this to use as a compression sack for my sleeping bag. The seams are strong and reinforced. The slipper finish makes packing easy.

I am so glad

Very practicable and light weight sack. I have Medium one. Easy to adjust the straps. Nice fabric, amazing yellow colour, soft texture. So, I use this sack for carring the sleeping back, for clothing storage in base camp. And if you will fill it with youw fleece suit, sack is becoming indispensable pillow))))) in the camp. Highly recommend it.

Great for Summer Backpack Trips

By:
October 8, 2007

I use this compression sack to hold my clothing on warm-weather backpack trips. It squishes everything down to a tiny package about the same size as my cookpot. Very light, but still pretty strong. Not waterproof, so I wouldn't use it to carry my down sleeping bag if it's likely to rain, but it's a great item if you prefer to use a small backpack.

tough for the weight

By:
June 9, 2008

I am all about lightweight, durable gear and this baby is it. I cram my gigantic -5 degree synthetic sleeping bag in it and can really crank it down. impressive. and I never have to worry about the fabric tearing or seams parting. an awesome product. I definitely need about 3 more.

favorite compression sack

By:
July 25, 2008

Yeah, I love these compression sacks. I have a Med and Large. I prefer the Medium . . . I think it is more versatile - big enough for several days worth of clothing, but also able to handle smaller loads. The fabric is so thin and lightweight that I question how these will hold up after many seasons of use, but after a few trips they seem to be doing well.

these are the best

By:
July 15, 2008

I have used a variety of shaps and sizes to stuff just about anything. I like them so much I have ditched some of my factory bags for things like Kelty tarp and tents. You can really crank these down and not have to worry about quality.

Great sack

By:

You can really crank down on this sack and shrink a down sleeping bag to a very managable size. I just used it on an overnight hut trip with a day pack and I had room for extra clothes and even some food. Well made sack.

small is all

By: Backcountry.com Employee

I was able to fit my 15 degree 800 fill down sleeping bag perfectly into the size small and after cranking down a little the whole thing fit perfectly into the bottom on my day pack. I decided to use the size medium one that I bought for my MSR Hubba Hubba tent and found that without putting the poles in, i could have easily used a small for my tent as well. I will probably buy a few more of these since they are so light and so helpful in packing. The only minor complaint I could say is that the sil-nylon is not the most durable fabric in case you end up strapping one of these to the outside of your pack for some reason you would want to be careful of what you might brush up against.
