The Sea To Summit's Lightweight Dry Sack is lighter and more packable than traditional boating dry bags, which means you can take this waterproof Dry Sack backpacking and adventure traveling. Fully taped seams and a roll-top closure on the Dry Sack block water whether this bag sits inside your pack or your kayak hull. Choose the 35-liter Dry Sack for clothes and gear, or a smaller bag for quick trips. * Sea To Summit recommends double-bagging sensitive electronic devices.

Bottom Line: Lightweight, packable waterproof protection for backpacking or boating trips.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL TESTED...!!!

By:
December 23, 2010

I use my 35L dry bag to line the inside of my backpack. It allows me to loose stuff all of my gear and still be assured that everything stays dry. When I set up camp, I stuff it with my rain gear and extra clothes, and it becomes my pillow. Sea to Summit has created a very simple yet dependable dry sack. My 35L dry sack is a survivor of three AT thru-hikes, and soon to be a part of my fourth...!!!

Hey milanosa,
The Sea to Summit dry bags do not have a handle across the bottom. If you want a handle then look at OR's dry bags.
hope this helps...

There is no handle on the bottom, just a D-ring up top by the clips

I used an 8L bag to hang my food while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. It was big enough to hold all my food, cooking pan, and all personal items that animals love to eat.

Lightweight and Functional

By:
February 21, 2011

These dry bags are super light weight, and do the job they are intended to do. I've been using my 20l for over a year now to keep my dry clothes in while kayaking, and I haven't had a single problem with it! The materail is very smooth, so when you go to pack it in a boat, you're not fighting it! Does not seem like the type of dry back to set down on the rocks though. The fabric is fairly thin, so the risk of puncture is pretty high.

Versatile Bag

Use the smaller versions - 1 liter - to hold my small items (keys, wallet, etc.) in the back of my kayak cockpit. Cheap, small, simple, light and keeps out water. Works just as expected.

Great Dry Bag

By:
January 10, 2011

This bag is very light. The D ring at the top makes it great to clip on to. I use this bag for hiking, camping, kayaking/canoeing and white water rafting. I generally use it for clothing but is also great for storing food, radio, sat phone, GPS, stove/fuel bottle, etc. Would recommend to anyone.

How did I live without it?

By:

I've only kayacked for a year and usually came home with my things wet. This bag is flexible, durable and definitely water proof. My only gripe is that you can only get it in hunter orange. But at least you won't lose it!

Perfect Food Hang Bag

By:

I use this as a food hang bag in areas populated with mice and other critters. Tight closure helps reduce food smell. I hang it on heavy fishing line to keep mice from crawling down a rope to the bag. Works great!

Dry food and clothes. Yum.

Just took this bag on the Subway hike in Zion National Park and put my lunch and spare clothes in there so I wouldn't have a soggy sandwich or soggy shorts. Swam through the water, my pack completely submerged and got to our dry destination to find my grub and threads as dry as they were before. I was soaked, but the goods were dry.
