    Go Team!

Plenty of Scott's athletes opt for the Team Issue Ski Poles, so you have to assume they're solid. Don't just trust the big shots, though—instead, put your faith in the Team Issue's rugged aluminum shaft, comfortable Notch Strike grip, and releaseable SRS strap, which pops out of the handle to save your 'bows and wrists when you go all Raggedy Andy off that 20-footer.

    Good Poles

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these for my wife, she loves the straps and the color. They are nice and light. I have the same pair and the straps do run small. No problem for my wife, but for my poles I had to open the straps wider than the Velcro allows and sew them together. Not a big effort but it would be nice if the straps where a bit larger.

Issue poles are a BIG ISSUE-DONT BUY

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these poles and during the first day of skiing the releasable strap (which was too small for my hand to fit into with a glove) released twice. The second time the small piston
that held it in was lost in the snow. When I went to Coles ski shop in Park City they said they could not repair this because they do not have a replacement piston. I returned them for the standard strap Scott Poles. If you pole plant don't get the releasable strap.

    Great Poles

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are some nice light poles. The straps do run a bit tight for me, but I wear some pretty thick gloves. I'm a fan of safety orange Scott calls it red so if you don't like that get the black ones. You really can't go wrong with these.

    Ski Poles!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Every skier needs them. Scott makes some of the best in the industry. I really dig the grips / straps on these. The swing weight is even also. They don't come with powder baskets, but they are easy enough to switch out.

    Great all-around pole

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been using Scott poles for some time now and they're fantastic- I have no need for any other. FIrst off, the ergo grip works great- it's rubber so snow doesn't stick, the hand loops are easily adjustable and stay the exact size you want, they're light weight (the swing weight feels great) and they come in cool colors. Need I say more?

They're the best all-around poles, but if you do TONS of touring you may want a pole that is adjustable.
