    New kid on the block.

Cork ain't just for kid skis and keeping you Chilean cabernet corked until you're back at base camp, and Scott is hellbent on convincing you with the SpeedGuide Ski. Combine the forgiving, featherweight cork middle core with burly carbon stringers, and you get a viciously agile climbing machine that's stable and fun on the way down. Though this ski is focused on the ascent, the progressive sidecut, tight turn radius, and playful 80mm waist width shine in a variety of conditions. Pro-Tip Rocker keeps your tips above fluff and sluff, should you encounter it, and camber underfoot packs a punch when carving. So, slap your skins on with the help of the Skin Fixation System and get a move on—there are summits to tag.

    • A voracious climbing ski that gobbles vert for breakfast
    • 80mm waist width keeps the ski nimble and precise
    • Traditional camber underfoot with early rise tip
    • Sandwich construction keeps the ski stable and stiff
    • Cork and carbon core keeps the skis ridiculously light
    • Item #SCO00II

    Scott Speedguide Ski

Ski like a racer, tou like a racer!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was really surprised at how well this ski actually skis. I had the opportunity to take these up on the side of the resort (they allow uphill travel) and then rip groomers on the way down.

I was wearing a pair of backland carbon lights, with hard tongues, and was able to drive this ski like a mini race ski. Super mobile, stiff, but extremely light.

For something to shred light pow, groomers, and just race uphill - this ski rocks!

    Uphill Ripper!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Are you looking for an ultralight touring ski? The Scott Speedguide is a great option for a narrow waisted touring ski that works in a variety of conditions. Cork underfoot provides nice dampness at speed and is extremely durable. The camber underfoot is sufficient and allows you great grip to cling to the skin track in icy and slick conditions. This ski mostly focuses on the ascent, but is a solid option for variable conditions downhill.
