Charge, float, and get there yourself.

It takes a whole lot of dough to keep a full quiver of skis in your garage, and a whole lot of time to make sure each one gets the love it deserves. If you want to protect your piggy bank by getting one set of boards that can do it all, from the frontside to the backcountry, you could do a whole lot worse than the Scott Rock'Air Ski.

It's nice and light, courtesy of a Paulownia wood core, but incorporates carbon stringers that'll prevent you from feeling sketched out if you're charging, and has a Pro-Tip 375 Rocker early-rise design that floats through powder and rolls over rough terrain like it's taking a walk in the park. The early-rise tip works with the dual-radius sidecut to make it super easy to alter your turn shape to suit the terrain, whether you need to make short-radius turns in a tight couloir or open it up down a chargeable face. The Rock'Air's got plenty of torsional stiffness to hold an edge when you're railing frontside turns, and skins attach easily to its tails so you can access your line with the same easy-breezy style that you ski it with.
