I was given these as a gift, they are great, as far as poles go. I would never spend this amount of money on a set of poles. I have bent & dinged expensive poles as quickly as I have $19.99 poles. Next time I need poles, I will sort the list by price low - high and buy the cheapest.

12 years skiing and racing w/ all the aluminum poles that Scott makes, must have bent all of them. Still, I wanted nothing else. Last season these caught my eye because they have the Scott 4 finger grips, a prerequisite for me. They have a real nice feel in hand, quicker than the aluminum poles. Getting a powder basket on these was not easy- they aren't the same as the aluminum poles and you can't use a hammer to remove the old baskets. My local ski shop was able to take care of that, just took them a while. A nice upgrade overall.
