    Details

    A quick-loading, far-shooting skagit head.

They call steelhead the fish of a thousand casts for a reason—they're extremely rare and difficult to locate. Being able to work every run methodically, no matter how tight casting quarters might be (not to mention putting your fly at the right depth), is the key to swinging your fly into the mouth of a wild steelhead or salmon.

Available in a wide range of grain weights, Scientific Anglers' TC Skagit Kit can be paired with everything from a short switch rod to a long spey setup, and comes with a brutish head that shoots your fly to the far bank with ease. The kit is equipped with one floating tip and three sink tips that can be attached to the head when fishing different depths, while the skagit head features a color change towards the rear taper, making it easy to see where shooting head begins for efficient casting. The taper of the skagit head is designed to load two-handed rods quickly, turn large salmon and steelhead flies, and put everything from deep-swimming winter steelhead and chinooks on the end of your line.

    • Floating skagit head
    • Short and powerful taper
    • Color changes at rear taper
    • Four textured tips included
    • Welded loops
