These shoes are perfect. Great for any beginner. They are very comfortable and have nice traction. The sizing chart seems to be fairly true to size, but for a super snug fit you could always go down a half size.

I'm new to climbing and needed a shoe that I could use while I learn. This one is perfect. I got a half size smaller, because I was not ready for super tight shoes yet, and they fit me well.

It is a good shoe for crack climbing, where you don't need an aggressive shape or serious stick. However, this shoe is right around mediocre. I purchased these after having a pair of the five ten anasazis, and what a down grade.

Very nice first shoe for the girlfriend. She's way more confident now that she has a pair of shoes that fit and the rubber on these is nice.

These are my beginner shoes, and they are just that. I got a 6.5 and I am usually a 7.5, I'd recommend just going down a half size, but I am OK with a little comfort in my climbing shoes.. I will buy a new pair when these breakdown, probably a different brand all together. But they are not bad beginner shoes, especially for the price.
