Mustang GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

Between the waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane and burly suede upper, the Scarpa Mustang GTX Lady Hiking Boot rivals mountaineering footwear for harsh-weather use. Though these Scarpa boots easily support your ankles for carrying 50+ pounds on a multi-day hike, they also weight only 20oz combined. Vibram Megane Lite soles ensure excellent traction on a wide range of terrain and the durability to last season after season of big trips.

Bottom Line: You don’t need a tougher hiking boot.

Straight out of the box onto every hiking trail I could find. Canyonlands, Bryce, Zion, Sequoia and Yosemite..so all types of terrain. Not one rub, blister or complaint. Basically lived in them 24 hrs a day for three weeks...still love them!

Hi there

I have just ordered these online to be sent to Sydney, Australia. I hope I get them in time for my next training session in two weeks, fingers crossed!

I was going to get the Kailash ones, but decided these ones will be better suited for what I'm going to be doing. I'm walking/hiking 100k in August for the Oxfam Trailwalker under 26 hours (which is our team goal) - I hope I've made the right choice!

cheers

Hi Eli

Thanks I will post a photo of them on my next training session in a couple of weeks - I went to Mountain Design in Sydney and had my foot size measured properly so the size I ordered should be fine. It's two sizes bigger than my normal street shoe.

Very excited and can't wait to get them! YAY

cheers

I'm glad you got these now! Wear them as much as possible so they are well broken in for your 100k. I'm sure you knew that! Honestly, these will be a great boot if they fit as you expected. Good luck to you and your team on your hike!

Loved these shoes even for slightly wider feet

By:
November 1, 2009

I heard a lot of reviews about these not working for wider feet and while I don't wear wide sized shoes, my feet are slightly wide and I had no issue with these boots. In fact, I loved them. They were comfortable, I forgot I had them all except for the grip and dry socks (I previously had non waterproof boots). These boots work and feel even better than they look!

Fit will be very similar, but the Mustang is a bit beefier. It will be better for heavier loads and rougher terrain.

light weight, comfortable boots

By:
February 13, 2010

The boots are very comfortable, light weight, but a little bit small. My suggestion is to order 1/2 size big. They work and feel even better than I had over 10 pairs Scarpa before! I purchased 2 pairs for myself. I love them~~
