The Scarpa Women’s Apex GTX Hiking Shoe won’t let wet weather ruin your hike. A waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane keeps your feet dry as you navigate watery terrain. The Apex’s synthetic leather upper provides durability while mesh panels increase ventilation. A compression-molded EVA midsole helps your feet feel fresh and comfortable mile after mile. Scarpa’s Trail-Speed outsole gains traction on slippery ground and the Trail plate gives you more support to prevent ankle rolls.

Testimonial: For the past 2 years, I've repeatedly gotten a blister on my left heel. This season, I declared, "NO MORE!!!" I went out in search of the perfect shoe... my criteria: comfortable, hard-working, simple (it's the bells and whistles that give you blisters, FYI). The Scarpa Apex is is all that and a bag of chips. I love these shoes! No blisters! Plus, they're bangin' - in a rugged, Italian sort of way. I'm a Scarpa wearer for life.

I've been wearing scarpa nitro's for years & can't find anything else like them ! I also wear salomons trail shoes as I work outside & average 5-6 mi. a day uphill & down but I really need the support of the hiker...any suggestions? Cassie

This would be a close fit to the Nitro that you had. I would also suggest the Scarpa Zen if Goretex is not a concern.
