So after some serious use in the backcountry, it sounds like the guy doesn't like these ones as much as the modal/cotton models. They're super lightweight and don't stay in place as well as the others. Furthermore, they had holes in the leg after about 2 weeks. They're still arlight, but definitely not as great as the Luxury Boxer Brief.

These are a dream to wear. The soft waistband is very nice and does not cut into one's skin at all. I found that buying a size up was perfect. I did this to alleviate some of the uncomfortable pressure on one's waistline that can occur when wearing several layers of clothing (underwear, baselayer, softshell pants, hardshell...all the tension adds up, so why add to it with tight underwear?). I have a size 33 waist and bought a large. Thrilled with the product.

If you want your body to be warm, you've got to keep your core warm. If you're shredding 8 hours and have cold, drafty junk, you'll have less fun on the mountain. This pair of undies keeps you warm and so much more.

The Merino blend material is ultra thin, ultra soft, ZERO ITCH, and wicks moisture better than poly. Merino is better than poly because it insulates when you need warmth and ventilates when you need to cool down. The mediums fit my 32 waist perfectly.

Don't even think for a second that the front pouch with parallel side panels is a gimmick. IT WORKS. The parallel side panels create a layer of material between your legs and sack so you'll never have to unstick your junk from your thighs again. And unlike regular briefs, all Saxx underwear doesn't bunch constrict your boys into a tiny pouch, they get to hang as low as they want.

Bottom line is the SAXX Black Sheep boxer brief is my only snowboard underwear. I rock it with my merino Ninja suit for the total experience. Never wearing poly again - I'm a merino believer.

I bought these for my son to wear during our 11 day Philmont Scout Ranch trek. The description seemed to be the perfect solution to his dilemma (chafing between the scrotum and inner thigh). Although they did protect that area from chafing, they unfortunately irritated another area. The new area of irritation is the area where the mesh panels meet the underwear toward the rear of the panels. It seems that the small concentration of stitching in that area was all that it took to make his hike unpleasant. The mound of stitching began to irritate a whole new area. He stuck with his ExOfficio's for the rest of the trip.
