Saucony ProGrid Xodus 3.0

purchased this shoe for pure trail running. I had a recent ankle injury so I needed something that would provide good support, this shoe has a good size footprint that keeps ankle rolling to a minimum when in variable terrain. super comfortable.. a little on the heavy side but great for long runs. Great shoe.

My shoe for the Trans Rockies

So I signed up for the Trans Rockies race which is a 120 mile race over 6 days with 20,000 ft elevation. I then went out and bought 4 different pairs of trail running shoes. After running many miles in all 4 this is the pair I decided will be best for the race. The things I really like about this shoe is the weight for a trail run shoe is just right, the sole gives me much better protection than a typical road shoe, and in general it really feels similar to the Mizino Wave Rider road shoe which I love. I would recommend this shoe for any trail running and I'm actually glad some of the other shoes I was considering was sold out because this was a hidden gem.
