Saucony's PowerGrid Xodus 5.0 Women's Trail Running Shoe isn't just a road runner that's been hooked up with a burlier sole; nope, it's been built from the ground up to handle rugged and rocky trails, so you can knock out tough miles without pain, injury, or unnecessary fatigue. It starts with a four millimeter drop, which gives you a powerful combination of natural foot roll and low-profile support, before being augmented with an ultra-tough Vibram XS-Trek rubber sole with super-aggressive lugs for serious grip on loose terrain. A full-length PowerGrid insert provides plenty of responsive cushioning, and Saucony built in an External Bedrock Outsole, too, to protect your forefoot from sharp rocks and hard impacts when you're opening up the throttle. Even if it's hot outside, the synthetic upper and RunDry lining will move moisture away from your skin, and the gusseted internal boot and Pro-Lock lacing system serves up a snug, comfortable fit and keeps debris from sneaking in and interrupting your flow.
