But with a natural, neutral feel, you can pretend the performance is all you.

Heel box is a problem for me

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I need a heel box that is higher at the rear, like on my Kinvara Progrid 3 runners. The heel box on these is low enough such that I got a friction sore on the back of my achilles/heel point.

I want to love these, but.......

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I love the weight, the traction, and it has the right amount of cushioning for a minimalist type, speed type, fore to midfoot striking runner type shoe. I even dig the colors and have put them on to sport around town. I use them for trail running and for speed work on hills and a dirt track. They are great for these applications. Ok, so, now the but......The heel slips! It is just a little bit, but enough to be annoying after several miles. I have read it is because of the rock plate, but i don't think so. I think it is just how the heel itself fits. I've never had this issue before. Also, although the toe box is roomy enough for me, it comes to a weird and unnecessary point. Its like there is an extra centimeter of tip for no real reason. I am a Saucony guy and love their shoes and I want to love this one, but, ultimately I don't think I can live with the heel slip and they will be eventually returned.

Fantastic light weight trail shoe.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Picked these up a couple weeks back and I am not disappointed. First thing you will notice is that these puppies are light which will really make a difference in those long uphill runs. Second, These things breath really well and dry pretty quickly, the duel layer mesh upper does just enough to keep you protected and still feels like it is hardly there. Traction is fantastic, I was a little nervous how they would handle running across stream stones but skipping across 4 or 5 slick rocks I haven't had any issues with traction. These shoes keep you really low to the ground and provide great feel for the terrain, and with the nylon fiber rock plate (that is displayed in cutouts in the sole) you still wont feel any stones trying to bruise your feet.
