GOAT IS GOOD
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 11
These are not the most appealing of shoes but they are lightweight and they are way more comfortable than cycling shoes especially after 30+mile days bikpacking. They fit flat on top of each other and work well for consolidating space. I do not really wear these outside unless its for a quick trip. They do have some what of a thick sole but with regular use I think they would wear out easily. Over all great and comfortable.
Photo is from a bike trip to the North Rim of The Grand Canyon (107+Miles, 5days).
These shoes experienced rain, sleet, snow and mud. Cant say there bomb proof but there close.
Kinda a let down...
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
I bought these last fall to use as a casual shoe when it became inappropriate to wear sandals. I wanted to be able to wear them barefoot, as they are supposed to be worn.
Unfortunately, despite being the right length, I found them to be too narrow. I would say I have relatively wide feet but nothing too extreme. I think the the hemp will stretch eventually, but I don't like cramming my feet into anything but my climbing shoes.
My biggest dislike (should have saw it coming) was that my feet sweat like crazy in these damn things. I can't imagine anyones feet not sweating in these things. And because they're enclosed, they don't air out well and the sweat (aka stink) sticks around. I mean, I was wearing them in a NY winter and my feet still sweat the in the damn things.
Also, I prefer a stiffer footbed and these where quite squishy, which I know many people like.
Having said all of these things, I must say that the shoe is seemingly well made (I haven't pushed them to much). The material is very nice and comfortable on the foot (sans sweat). The pocket feature is kinda cool for storing a couple bucks. The soul is grippy too. They're also super cool looking and I got a few compliments.
So, if you have wide feet that sweat easily and you prefer a stiffer surface, then these are definitely not for you. But I give them three stars because I think they could work for some people and I support businesses that are using different materials and are more ecologically mindful.
I will probably donate mine, so look out at your local thrift shop.
These are amazing.

These are my first pair of Sanuks and I haven't stopped wearing them since i got them. I own a few other pairs of very comfortable shoes too. These are great and perfect for summer. Very comfy, very lightweight, and breath great. Definately recommended!! I usually wear a 10.5 but since no half sizes i bought a 10 and its perfect.
Great for relaxing
These saddles are are great for kicking around camp. Pack them in or tie them on your pack and you will not regret having them for when you are ready to pitch your tent. Bottom line is there are super comfortable while still providing some protection for your feet.
Sanuks pick pocket. Shoes
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Bought these as a gift for my husband. He loves them. They wear well, are comfortable, and clean easily.
Pick Pockets drip-drying.
Pick Pocketed its way into my life...
Somehow Sanuk went from having a great shoe, the Vagabond, to a great shoe made better by scaling down the size for us skinny ankled folk. Yet on the inside it's as roomy as a king sized bed. Plus no worries about spending all that cash or dropping it on the ground, just stash it in the shoe for those needed expenditures, i.e. a pint down at the local brewery...delicious just like the shoe.
Sanuk Pick Pocket khaki color
LOVE these shoes and glad I went with size 11. I typically wear a 11.5 in tennis shoes but Sanuk doesn't make half sizes so I went with a 11. I tried on a size 12 at a local surf shop and they were to big. The 11 at first seem a lil snug but after wearing them for one day they stretched just right. I have even worn them with little footie socks which are not thick and they still don't feel super tight. Wearing them without socks is nice but be prepared for your feet to sweat espcially in the summer. Overall a great shoe and I will be buying another pair in the darker brown if I can ever find them online for $50 like I did these. The surf shop wanted $65 for the same shoe I got for $50 + free shipping on dogfunk so I recommend this site. I will say shipping took a long time but I do live in NC and they are shipping from Utah, plus it was free shipping so can't complain to much.
Hey Man Look- They be Sanuks
First Sanuk, Not Last
I bought these sandals in a little bit of doubt but here I am maybe two and a half years later still wearing the same pair and mixing it up with two other pairs. Incredibly comfortable lounge around sandals. I use mine to boulder while I work at the rock wall, I take them on kayak trips and surf the sidewalks and streets with the longboards in them. Get a pair and FYI, they will feel a little uncomfortable at first possibly until they form a little better to your foot.
casual and some of the most comfortable footwear i have ever worn. durability is not their ticket, but around town and to the bar nothing in easier or more comfortable.
for sizing - i wear a 9-9.5. a 9 in sanuk is perfect.
I wear them as often as I can. I wish I could wear them all year long, but they are definitely the most comfortable shoe for the warmer seasons. Comfortable like sandals but you can actually engage and disengage a clutch without them hanging up on the floormat.. I will definitely buy another pair next year (the current pair will probably be worn completely out)!
Very comfy shoe and great look
I just purchased these and have received a lot of compliments. They're good shoes for casual wear, but have more support and cushion than a sandal. Surprisingly, your foot doesn't get hot while wearing them. Only wish they came in 1/2 sizes.
I really like Sanuk shoes, and these are no exception. They are very comfortable, and the cushioned footbed is really nice. If you've never worn Sunuks before, be aware that they have little arch support and a somewhat flexible sole (Sanuk calls these sandals and not shoes). To my feet, having these on feels real similar to walking barefoot. If you can't tell from the picture, these shoes are cotton (and not leather) so they look fairly casual, although the style is that of a standard loafer. Their fit is pretty much true-to-size (they start out slightly snug, but then quickly stretch out with use).
While the llength is great, anyone with high arches will have trouble, a bit too tight
These shoes are great, very comfy and light. Pretty much a sandal with some cloth attached to it. They run a little big, so if your in between sizes go low, the material is thin so its easy to fit a lot of foot in there.
I love these shoes. Awesome, comfortable fit. No complaints. Fit true to size, I thought with sanuks I needed either a size smaller than normal or a size larger. The Pick Pockets fit me true to size! I wear a size 10, I bought a size 10. I have the Khaki color, they seem to have a little more brown than the picture, but just barely.
