Using Santa Cruz's lightest, strongest CC-level carbon, the Tallboy Carbon CC is able to achieve high levels of strength and stiffness, while significantly shaving weight. The result is snappy acceleration needed for bursting out of corners, which is vital when you're racing and chasing PRs alike. And with high levels of strength, you won't think twice before plunging into rock gardens and techy stretches of formidable terrain.

The suspension is handled by 100mm of VPP-controlled travel, with the shock rate tuned for an efficient, yet ultra-smooth ride. VPP is not only effective at neutralizing braking forces, but it's also well equipped to isolate pedaling forces, eliminating seizing under hard braking and energy-sapping pedal bob. Plus, it comes with the same collet-style pivot hardware that's become standard for Santa Cruz's suspension bikes, ensuring that the pivots stay tight and are easy to service.

The XX1 build doesn't pull any punches when it comes to delivering high levels of performance and reliability. Its extraordinary SRAM XX1 drivetrain ensures a simple, light, and perfectly-shifting system, with the exception being the ultra-light Race Face Next SL crankset, which is also incredibly stiff and strong. Equipped with FOX's Factory series suspension package, you'll find a 32 FLOAT CTD Factory fork with 120mm of trail-taming travel up front. At the rear, the FLOAT CTD Factory rear shock keeps things controlled and comfortable when the going gets rough. Both shocks feature buttery Kashima coatings for silky-smooth travel. Other high-ticket items include an XTR brakeset for powerful, precise brake modulation, as well as the stunningly light and stiff WTB Asym i23 rims, laced to DT Swiss hubs.
