The Salomon Z10 Alpine Ski Binding covers a wide variety of skiers’ needs, from intrepid lightweights to aggressive midweights and everything in between. Built for performance all over the mountain, the Z10 Binding’s wings automatically adjust around your boot for a secure fit and excellent response in the event of a fall. The binding’s high lateral transmission and vertical progressive pivot allow for a release in any direction, so you can slide out of a potential knee-twister and get back in the saddle.

Bottom Line: The difference between a hospital visit and a fall that’s not worth mentioning? Reliable bindings.

I'm not positive but I assume these will not work with Smartrak. Can anyone tell me if I'm mis informed? Also does anyone know where I can get Z9 or 10 smartraks? I got a pair of '10 Origin Crystals for my wife now I'm on aquest for bindings...Thanks

These bindings are designed to screw directly on to a pair of skis.

It looks like Scott is the only company making Smartrak bindings that don't come pre-attached to a pair of skis.

Hey Tracy,

the brake on this binding (80mm) is only a measley 3mm narrower than your skis. The shop mounting your skis should have no problem, bending those brakes a bit to fit.

This binding will work great for you! Enjoy

I bought some Salomon Foil 1080 TwinTip Skis (2006/2007 model year. They are 182s) from a friend. They have never had bindings installed on them. Would thse be a good choice?

Yeah more then likely they would be. The din range is from 3-10 and you usually want to be set in the upper middle end of that range, so if you're a "type II" or a lighter "III" skier then these would be great.

maybe but you will have quite a bit of overhang on the sides, from the brakes being 90mm and ur ski being 65mm.
