Salomon XA Pro Shoe - Kids' - 2007 BCS

The shoe is true to size and very light weight. It fit very well so the breaking in period was short and uneventful.
The closing device is a black plastic buckle that has to be pulled up and down the lace. It is a little difficult for our 9-year to do so. With a little help from us it works but it takes a lot of convincing to keep her from slipping the shoes on and off without opening the buckle/lace device which would ruin the snug fit needed for hiking. So some points off for that.
I also had to clean them after a muddy hike and was not able to get the textile parts of the shoe completely back to its light blue color. A muddy undertone stays. So there go another few points. An additional round in the washer did not enhance the result. But the shoe showed no signs of distress by that procedure. So I will not hesitate in the future to wash them when needed.
Overall a good but not remarkable shoe.

I got these for my son for a little trail running/one-on-one time with his pops. What a great purchase! They're super comfortable, easy to lace, wicked durable and he says they look like jedi shoes so needless to say he rarely takes them off. Great find!!!

I'm 27, 5'1" and have small feet so finding good shoes is a challenge. These are awesome, get them while you can because they'll be gone in no time!!!

My son had to have shoes like mommy, but boy were they hard to find. Thanks for caring them. He loves them. I love my 5 pairs of Salomons and my son wont take his off, either..
