I got a pair of these for my partner - she loves them. We are Aussies so US & EU sizing can be a bit problematic. She takes a Mountain Hardware 8 and 8 in these is fine. But they are a stretchy fabric and if you didn't want then so close fitting go a size larger. They sit on the waist just above the hips and have 2 velcro adjustments.

I ordered a size 4 (typically I'm a 2 or xs) and it fit just fine but I wasn't in love with this pant. It was a tad too high waisted for me and it also has an adjusted waist with velcro tabs and I don't care for a lot of velcro in my clothes (too many incidents when washing velcro with other clothes).
The material was nice and I loved the detailing of the pockets but the fit and velcro was a deal-breaker for me so I sent them back.
Change me.
