Built for long hauls.

Salomon designed its Men's S-Lab Exo Twinskin Short to help you go longer as well as recover better after demanding runs. Exo Sensifit Stability technology places polyurethane panels in the compressive ActiLite Stretch Mesh liner to provide targeted support to key muscles. The wide, super-elastic ActiLite Stretch waistband gives you excellent postural control to reduce fatigue and keep you running for a long time, and includes a few pockets to store small necessities. The ActiLite Pro outer short is lightweight and stretchy for unimpeded mobility and optimal breathability on warm days; Salomon built it without fabric on the inner thighs to reduce chafing and annoying bulk.

Aluminum is like gold

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I got a pair of these in the medium, and I love them. They keep my legs tight and I can really increase my mileage much quicker than in past years, because it really reduces my fatigue on my mountain runs. For fit, well I am 5'10" 160 and have pretty large thighs for someone my size. I got these in a medium and the waist fits me great, (I have a 33 inch waist actual measurement) but my thighs are pretty tight. I tried on the size Large and the thighs were perfect, but the waist was too loose for my preference. I think this is just something I am going to have to suck up if I want to continue wearing these, because I am not going to be able to make the large work. Aside from that these shorts feel great, they are lite and breathe well. The length on the compression is decent, they don't come anywhere near the knee, which is a huge annoyance to me when wearing compressions. The shorts sewn into the tight on the inner thigh takes time to get used to but all in al they feel good. The compression material does not have as much elasticity to it as many stand alones but that is what they are designed to do. All in all these are going to be my go to ultra shorts for the 14 mountain running season.
