From backcountry snowshoe treks to arctic mornings shoveling the driveway, the Salomon Men’s Tundra Mid WP Winter Boot gives your feet warmth and waterproof protection from the brutal days of winter. Salomon lined the waterproof upper with soft synthetic fur and Aerogels insulation, and added leather and rubber reinforcements for durability. The Tundra attaches easily to strap-on crampons or snowshoe bindings, and the ContaGrip sole provides firm traction on icy surfaces.

Bottom Line: Come prepared for winter with the Tundra Mid WP Boot.

Hey Tom, I found them on Amazon and just ordered a 10.5. They come from a vendor named Bikesomewhere.

Awesome boot!

I bought these boots at a deep discount - $48.00, but I would gladly pay more for them! I spent a full weekend in VT playing disc golf through 12+ inches of snow. I also walked the dog each morning in them, around town, in temperatures in the teens at the highest. My feet were always comfortable, never wet, never cold. Not to mention that these boots are about as light as a pair of running shoes - they're almost the perfect boot! If they had Salomon's easy lace system, then they'd be perfect!

It was my experience that they run a little small (but I think part of that is the idea that linings take up space. Since these are insulated all the way to your toes, you would do well to start 1/2 size up from your sneakers.

Will these boots work for hiking in the snow in Yellowstone in January when it is -30 to -40 outside?

I think you'd be a bit cold in -40. Luckily, I've been in Yellowstone in January and the average low is 10, in which case they'll be fine. If you are actually going somewhere that will be -40, something like (http://www.backcountry.com/store/TNF1571/The-North-Face-McMurdo-Winter-Boot-Mens.html) might be better.

Boots don't get a temp rating. These are a warm boot, designed for pretty cold days. What are you going to use them for?
