The Salomon Men's Trail Pro 2 Trail Running Shoe's innovative cushioning system and light weight makes 20-mile trail runs seem … well … a little less crazy. Salomon placed different density foam under each part of your foot to cushion and control your entire foot strike. Cushioning material in the heel reduces impact, high-density foam under the arch controls pronation, and elastic material under the forefoot releases energy when you push off. The cushioning system, when combined with a breathable and compression-resistant Ortholite insert, limits impacts on the heels, knees, and hips on long training runs to reduce pain and injury. To tighten the Trail Pro 2, simply slip in your foot, pull the drawcord, and then tuck it under the lace pocket on the tongue. Salomon gave this performance trail runner an aggressive, toothy Contragrip outsole for traction on uneven terrain.

The shoe's sole takes some getting used to, at least for me. I have wide feet and the arches are a little narrow. Other than that they are a really good shoe. I have run trails and played ultimate Frisbee in them.

These are some of the best shoes that I have ever owned. I would highly recommend them to anyone, whether you want them for hiking, trail running, or just every day shoes.

These have been good shoes for the gravel roads and trails that my wife and I run. The lacing system is pretty cool, and they have no trouble staying tied. The only thing I didn't like was the cushioning. In order to be comfortable for me, I had to replace the insoles with more cushioned ones. Overall a tough shoe that will get the job done. Thanks!

I love my new shoes! Straight out of the box I put them on and went for a 12km walk, mostly on tarmac, and my feet were smiling when I got home. Excellent comfort and a perfect fit for my feet.
The tightening system is clever too. And they even look cool!

I was initially pretty impressed with these Salomons - they offer nice support for mild pronation and fit nice and snugly. Although they are quite a bit warmer than most street running shoes, my biggest concern was how quickly the sole softened up. After two runs (6 and 12 miles, resp.) on a rocky fire road, the soles are quite soft and it's gotten somewhat painful to run on sharp stones. If you're not running on a lot of sharp stuff they're probably just what you're looking for.
