Really odd fit
Don't fit well with the thundercross and are odd against the ankle

easy to fit
I bought these as was always getting grit in my boots while on trails, and since using have not had any problems anymore

Overall very pleased
They do the job. Easy on and easy off. Lightweight. Durable. Fit isn’t perfect and the velcro tabs could have been a little bigger, but they stay on, they do their job well, and they don’t bother me while I hike. They stay on better when your shoes have a heel.

Not great
If you use these as intended, they don't fit any shoe very well and don't do a very good job of keeping dirt out, but in my experience, if you put them on "backwards", it puts the bottom strap into the correct position, and creates a tighter seal around the forefoot better keeping debris from slipping in the bottom. The velcro closure is still clunky with lots of extra fabrick, but they fit and work better if you put them on backwards

Good for scree and trails, not sufficient for snow
These are by far the best train running gaiters I’ve used. Unfortunately though they’re not the end all product and can use some improvement still. The heel strap slips backwards when running downhill in snow and ice collects under the mesh covering. Still the best thing I’ve found so far and performs very well with scree and other off trail debris.

Terrible design
I have looked at these for two years and finally pulled the trigger to use with my size 12 Salomon XA Pro 3D's. (note, I have 4 pair, then 3 other Salomon trail runners.) They aren't tight enough at the top (despite being at the size's upper range), the closure is clunky, with too much fabric overlap and welt such that they bulge out at the ankle, but worst of all is that the wide underfoot strap doesn't nest into the arch of the Salomon shoe snugly so it gets pushed back to the heel of the sole, covering the treads, making the sole grip less!

Fantastic
Purchased last fall, but really started using the last month or so, as I used the High Gaiters for winter in Alaska. Took them for a run in the rain and fresh mud last week on a pair of Speedcross 5's, absolutely did their job. Post run there was a nice line above the gaiter of dirt and mud, below was completely clean!

One of the best
It's not often I opt to use gaiters but these are the easiest to use I have tried, they stay put, are comfortable, and keep the junk out. Not much more you can ask for a gaiter.

Almost 5 star
I've owned several pairs of these. I typically hike and do some trail running. I have found better performance using the small sized gaiters as they stay in place better and just overall give a nice tight and compact fit. My only complaint is the durability, specifically on the inside the ball of the ankle area (See photo). They tend to wear a hole in that specific area on every pair I've owned. It would be nice if Salomon could add some reinforcement in that area. Otherwise I love them. In ref, to another review: I've never experienced any interference with traction. I've worn these with Speedcross, Ultra 2 and other non-Salomon shoes...no issues. Hikes they've been on: Grand Canyon, Mt. San Jacinto, Mt. San Gorgonio, Mogollon Rim hikes etc.

Great concept, but not quite perfect
I bought these primarily to use with my Solomon running shoes. I trail run often in Idaho where there is a lot of cheat grass. I hate getting the seeds in my socks and shoes...I bought these gaiters primarily to keep the seeds out.. they work pretty well, I may have needed the taller version but these work pretty well. My only complaint is the need for more velcro to snug them up a bit more...
