A big ski with big float and surprising maneuverability, the Salomon Teneighty Gun Twintip surfs the fluff and holds an amazing edge on packed trails. Stomp that cornice extra hard before you drop, shock and awe on the mountain with the Salomon Teneighty Gun Twintip Alpine Ski. The material-minimal Spaceframe design places strength along the sides of the ski to make it torsionally rigid, while keeping the core lightweight and ready to float. Another weapon in the fight against rocks and stumps, the Teneighty Gun's total edge reinforcement and double wall construction make for a tough backcountry plank. After your giant powder line, wipe your nose and ride back to the lift switch with the Gun's twin tip and buttery-smooth shape.

Bottom Line: Leave the triggerlock at home because the Salomon Teneighty Gun Alpine Ski goes off on pow days.

Great Versatile Ski

After skiing on the Guns for two months, I have to say that I've really enjoyed them. Admittedly, after getting off of race stock skis, the Guns will seem a tad too forgiving and soft, however, park or big mountain, these skis are certainly the best in Salomon's lineup this year. They'll shred wherever you want them to!

Heavy Skiers

By:

I just read the most recent review of this ski, and have to disagree with the recommendation to stay away from this ski if you are heavy. I weigh 225 lbs and purchased a pair of the 185 cm 1080 guns (2005-06 model) toward the end of last ski season after demoing them in Zermatt, Swz. I couldn't be happier with the ski. It is very responsive, and glides over the powder much better than many of the other skis that I have tried such as the Rossi Scratch BC and the K2 Public Enemy (both sold as powder skis). My last pair of skis was the 2004-05 Darkside, by Line, and I think this ski outperforms that as well. My personal recommendation is to get this ski if interested in serious off-piste trails.
