Description

Casual boot with not-so-casual weather protection.

Start your day off on the right foot with the Salomon Tactile TS WP Boot. Although this casual-looking boot might look like a cozy slipper, it comes packed with weather-protection features that will keep your toes warm and dry all winter long.
  • Softshell upper bends and flexes with your movements and provides a cozy, unrestricted feel
  • Waterproof breathable bootie insert keeps the wet weather outside where it belongs and allows your foot sweat to evaporate
  • 200g Thinsulate insulation traps in heat and keeps your toes warm in temperatures as low as 20F (-7C)
  • Faux fur liner traps in more warmth and provides a soft, next-to-skin feel
  • ContraGrip outsole technology uses a mix of lug geometry and different rubber densities to improve grip on wet, icy surfaces

Best shoes for hiking/severe weather

I was looking for something waterproof and warm and in my opinion these boots just IT... you can stand in high wind in the water or snow at 15F ( having good whool thick socks) with out even knowing how cold it is outside.

Besides they are super warm and waterproof they are super soft and grip pretty good on snow and rocks ( hiking). No need for microspikes or gaters and for this price Salomon just kills every other shoe. Inside of the shoe is very comfortable and design is made so your foot doesnt move at all even if its sideways and you slide into snow of the rock. Highly recommended using them for 2 years for hikes and commute and not 1 scratch.

Wish Salomon would enforce the soles abit for crampons in my opinion thats the only thing away from these shoes being perfect.

im usually 10.5/11 and i got them in 10.5 they were a bit tight on thick sock but walked it off a bit and they are perfect now but i do suggest get half a size larger from sneaker size you wearing.

Comfortable and warm

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these for traveling to the ski resorts and doing yard work in snow and ice conditions. They are warm and comfortable and easy to put on and off. Good grip on ice. I bought 1/2 size bigger to accommodate winter sox and this was a good decision. I love Salomon equipment

Salomon Tactile TS WP Winter Boot-Men's SIZE COMMENT

I received these boots just yesterday and they look fantastic and are extremely light. However, I would highly suggest ordering a half size larger than you normally would due to their somewhat narrow sizing. I am bummed b/c I had to return them for a half size up and we were just hit with another storm here in the northeast.

hello,
please help me about the size: I never had a salomon boots.
For example my size for Timberland boots, Reebok and Adidas is 9 Us but Mizuno, Asics and Nike is 9.5 US.
But any shoes is 10 US. Which size can you suggest me?
Regards

Samuel, As a long time user of Salomon footwear, I would order the size 10.

Excellent Boot!!

Fantastically light and all weather proof. Dry, warm and easy to slip on. The velcro strap can be a nusiance at times, but over all these boots go on and off without a hassle and they stay on your feet. True to Salomon form and as previous people have commented, these boots run narrow. I went a half size bigger then my normal shoe size and they fit snug.

Solid and comfy but run small!

I bought these for a recent trip to Alaska. I found them to feel tight with normal sport socks on and figured they need to be worn a bit to wear in. Well I found out that they are indeed warm and great for walking in snow and ice. They look great and are very grippy, easy on and off and solid to walk on but still never really gave way in how tight they were.

After my trip I too found that these will not work for me in my size and I will need to return them for another size up. I would say go up another 1/2 size for normal socks and maybe a full size for thicker socks. Again although "tight" they worked very well for walking around in the -40 winter conditions with normal sport socks. Good luck!

Does this or a similar quality boot come in wide widths?

doubt it, they are pretty narrow i would suggest to get size or size and half up and put a sole in there, should work
