Description

Simply bomber.

You love the grippiness of your WTR soles, but time doesn't grow on trees and wait for you to take them off every time you get into your freeski bindings. Good thing Salomon made the new STH 2 WTR 13 Ski Binding, a burly clamp with the WTR and alpine compatibility you've been pining for. Now, quit your whinging and step into the bomber 3D Driver toe piece, which rocks powerful XL wings that lock your boot down and adjust simultaneously to ensure a perfect boot-to-binding connection. The Guardian heel piece features a smooth-operating flex interface, and the whole binding lies low and wide with a short chassis and an oversized platform for exceptional terrain feel and powerful transmission. Progressive transfer pads deliver increased dampening and forgiveness for easy riding even when you're getting rowdy, no matter what boots are on your feet.

Unanswered Question

For 105 mm waist skis, what size brake should I select--100 mm or 115mm? Thanks.

Great bindings

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've pushed these bindings hard this spring, and they haven't disappointed one bit. They've handled powder, groomers, and the trees all very nicely on my Salomon Q-98s.

I have Rossignol 9x ~65 mm width skinny ski's 198 length. I underatnd that the brake width for the sth 13 is minimum of 90 mm but will the binding itself fit on the ski?

Responded on

No I wouldnt do that at all. If you get a brake that much bigger, when you put the ski on edge you will dock the brake and it will drastically throw you off balance.

You can call or email me directly. 801-736-6398, or bporreca@backcountry.com

Are these bindings compatible with Garmont Radium A/T boots?

Responded on

No. These are only compatible with Alpine and WTR soles! You need a binding that is compatible with AT soles - like a Salomon MNC (multi-norm certified) binding or the Marker Lord SP. Or any AT frame binding with an adjustable toe height.

Best Toe Piece out there

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This toe piece connects to the top and sides of your boot, not the bottom and front as most bindings do. Accordingly, your boot sole at the toe can be worn down a bit and the binding still interfaces perfectly with your toe. Along with 40+ mm travel at the toe before it kicks you, this is the best toe piece on any binding available. If only If this toe and the Pivot heel had a baby, it would be the most superior binding ever.

The standard.

I don't feel good if I look down and see any other binding. You want these. Just buy them.
