Whether you’re headed out for a trail run, easy day hike, or a river trip, the Salomon Men’s Sport Amphibian 2 Shoe is the only footwear you’ll need. With a protective toe cap for rought trails and breathable mesh sides to drain water while keeping debris out, this shoe performs on any terrain. The Quiklace system and adjustable heel strap provide a snug fit, and the heel folds down for slide-on sandal ease. Salomon also added a bamboo-fiber lining and an AgIon footbed to eliminate foot funk.

Bottom Line: All your feet need in the water or on the trail.

Mostly using it for easy trail hikes and around camping area. Enough support but still better breathability than a closed shoe. Haven't used it on river trips yet.

These shoes suck!

I am a full time raft guide and if you need a pair of shoes to watch tv in these shoes are for you. I Wore them once on a river trip and fell 5 times and one of the laces ripped. I consider this pair of river shoes 95 dollars of junk.

salomon water shoes

Cool looking shoe but slippery as hell on wet rocks. Also the string used for laces soon breaks and is near impossible to replace - Peter

That "string" is made of some exotic material (kevlar?). But if you call Salomon customer service, they'll send you a lace-replacement kit.
