The Salomon SPK Pro Model Boot is all about the cush. Built to absorb the impacts of park, pipe, and urban skiing, it flaunts comfort technology (and tight design) like no other boot on the mountain. To start, Salomon's surprisingly secure two-buckle system locks you in without crushing your foot. Then the dual-density gel heel padding takes the sting out of hard, flat transitions, while an EVA spoiler prevents pinching and bruising of the calf muscle. And finally, an all-new SCS soft toe insert flexes to prevent black-toe disease when you inevitably land in the backseat.

Even though this looks like quite the park boot, how would it work as an all mountain boot? Would the cushioning also work for cliffs and natural hits or is it too soft? And what about the flex. Could that work for hitting up the entire mountain?

If you like a nice soft boot then yes, they could work very well for you. It is also very wide, so if you have a narrow foot you will be swimming in them. When I skied them I thought they were great but just a bit too soft for how I ski. Chances are they would be too soft. The Shoguns & Ghosts are also 2 buckle boots, but are better for all mountain freeride.
