The all-new Soulquest BC GTX 3L Men's Jacket, which is decked out with a waterproof and breathable three-layer Gore-Tex Pro membrane and fully taped seams to make short work of the burliest weather you'll run into. Since it was designed with backcountry lines in mind, Salomon cut it using its MotionFit concept, which, along with articulated arms, employs extra fabric in key spots so you'll have a free range of motion for skinning, bootpacking, rapelling, and whatever else you get into during your alpine missions. Underarm vents help you stay cool when you're working hard, and the relaxed fit of the Soulquest looks as steezy as the design is technical.

Of course, at the end of the day the Soulquest is made to handle serious descents, whether you're jump turning through pinner couloirs or punching it straight down AK-style runouts. The removable stretch powder skirt snaps into compatible Salomon pants to form a bombproof snow barrier, and the wrist gaiters have thumb loops to keep your sleeves locked down and snow locked out. You can throw the fully adjustable hood up over your helmet for extra protection and cinch up the hem when things get deep, give your goggles a quick once-over with the included wipe, and slap your skins back on for your first lap of free refills.
