Snowtrip II 3:1 Jacket - Women's

When wet snow and freezing winds come knocking, the Salomon Women’s Snowtrip II 3-in-1 Jacket turns them away. On gnarly days, wear the actiTHERM insulated inner jacket and shell together. When the temperatures creep up, rock the shell alone over a baselayer. The liner also makes a great après cover-up.

  • Shell's permeable underarm panels vent heat and perspiration
  • Shell's fully taped seams prevent water from leaking through the stitching
  • Shell's powder skirt blocks snow at the waist

Bottom Line: Any way you want it.

Great Jacket

Jacket is warm and stylish. The sleeves feel a little funny at first because of the way the seams are made but I got used to it very quickly. I love the sleeve pocket. It's perfect for the basics - ID, Credit Card and some Cash. Great jacket!

I am going skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado Jan. 26, and I am looking at this jacket. However, my husband says I should get the Arcteryx Gamma.....does anyone know if one is better than the other?

I was wondering how the flexibility of the arms and shoulders is. I find with most jackets that when I put my arms straight out then go half way up my forearm and it's difficult to put my arms above my head.

I would say it's pretty flexible. It can be considered a softshell, in my opinion, and the jacket does not rise much when I raise my arms.

one of the best

By:

I bought this jacket two years ago in black colour. I am 5 11" ( with tall torso ) the medium size it's just perfect. I ski a lot and this is the one of the best ski jackets I have ever owned. It 's very flexible but keeps my body warm . This is the 3 season jacket. I wear inside layer in the spring and fall. I just bought the same jacket in white and brown and I love it. It's stylish . If you are active female who likes to stay warm in the cold winter, this is the jacket I would recomend.

Does the outer shell have water-proof material? Does it work

Does the outer shell have water-proof material? Does it work as a rain jacket?

Yes, this is a waterproof jacket. Though I'd say it is a little heavy for a rain jacket, it will keep you dry case it rains.

Other than the sleeves...

By:
December 16, 2010

Got this about a week ago in preparation for ski season. So far, lovin' it! I'm petite, at 5 feet tall, and the XS fits great. It tapers at all the right places to give a stylish silhouette. My only complaint is that the sleeves are at least 2" too long, but then again, I have that problem with almost all jackets that I have! The outer shell is great on its own as well as it is lined on the inside, and is about as comfortable as a skiing softshell can get. With the liner zipped in, I expect to be toasty on the slopes!

Just got back from Mammoth skiing and wanted to confirm that this jacket is great! Love the fit (hello slim waist!) and material which is soft and easy to brush off snow / dirt. Never even had to layer in the liner as this would have been too warm - weather conditions in Mammoth were superb - underneath the outer shell which is also lined with fleece. The liner itself works great as a light jacket, and perfect for LA weather. Only gripe is that none of the pockets were big enough to fit my goggles.

hi, I'm looking into this jacket for my daughter. The review brings up some points about it not fitting real well. Is this a common problem?
Also looking into the northface cedar fall jacket. Which are very close in comparison. Any idea's of which to choose?

I would say it's a slim-fit style of jacket, so if you're looking for a loose-fit, this probably isn't the right jacket cut for you.

I am 5'7" and about 130 lbs...I bought a medium and it fits snug but I wouldn't want it any bigger.

Really, really want to like this jacket but...

Got this jacket in the blue lagoon color (no longer available on here) for an unbeatable price on SAC. The color actually brings up my first complaint and that's that I was expecting much more of a blue color - or at least a little darker - and, instead, the jacket is more of a seafoam green.

I decided I could deal with the much girlier color of the jacket because the fit in the waist and hips is great. The jacket (shell + liner) also kept me nice and toasty while laying on the hood of my car for two hours watching the Leonid Meteor Shower the other night. All I had under it was a long sleeve, midweight merino shirt.

Actually, that's about all I could have comfortably worn under it. The arms at the elbows are pretty tight. In addition to the tight elbows, which I think is caused by the extra bulk the seam there causes, the arms are a bit too short. When I put my arms up in front of me, the sleeves pull up past my wrists and the jacket is super tight across my back.I'm 5'6", 150 lbs (most of that is in my legs from cycling) and I bought the large...and am sorry to say that I will be returning it. So sad, too, because it seems like it would be such a warm, quality jacket.

I am really tall and always have a problem with sleeves and torso

I am really tall and always have a problem with sleeves and torso being long enough. Although I'd normally be a medium, I am wondering if anyone would recommend ordering a size up for length? Does this jacket run long at all?

If you normally have a problem with sleeves being short, I would suggest looking at another jacket. I'm 5'6" and I got a large...the sleeves are just barely long enough for me when I have my arms down at my sides. When I put both arms out in front, not only do the sleeves go up past my wrists, but the jacket is super tight across the back.
The length, however, is perfect for me, but again, I'm not really all that tall.

So far, so stoked...

By:
December 6, 2010

We just got this jacket shipped this week and I must say... we are completely stoked. I ordered the jacket for my wife (recognizing that the use hasn't been long) and she's very happy with the fit and features. My wife is pretty typical height 5'4, but has a hard time finding fitted jackets due to her larger chest size. Needless to say, even though the jacket is fitted, it fits her frame wonderfully well. The softshell material seems to be great- I have a Marmot Sharp Point and this seems quite comparable. She's gone through a ton of jackets- TNF, REI, Marmot... I think this one is the best she's gotten yet.

Love my Jacket

By:
December 18, 2009

The jacket is very warm and fits in a way that is very flattering. I have worn this jacket in 15 degree weather and couldn't feel a thing! No wind, not cold, nothing!

It is a little stiff at first, but eventually loosens up a bit.
