Mind-bendingly comfortable response.

The instant you drop in with your feet strapped into the Salomon Hologram Snowboard Binding, all your preconceived notions of how a binding should feel will be shattered. The ShadowFit system provides a combination of flex, response, and comfort that you never knew was possible.

The ShadowFit baseplate features a Kevlar QuickWire heelcup, which replaces the traditional rigid heelcup with a flexible one that truly conforms to your boot when you crank down the straps. This not only makes it more comfortable and allows you to tweak tricks farther, but it also increases response because of the continuous contact with the heel of your boot and the Kevlar wire running through it. The hologram highback features the an ergonomic shape and flex to create a seamless connection between your boot and the highback.

New for this season is the canted footbed, which is angled to line up your legs in a more natural position for improved response and less fatigue. Air Bed air bags in the heel work alongside the dual-density EVA footbed to cushion your foot from big drops and reduce vibrations when you're ripping through chunder and chop. 3D Asym Supreme ankle straps provide pressure point-free comfort and new Locked-Up toe straps are cored-out to shave weight.

Fantastic binding!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is the first binding I've owned and the second one I've ridden so far. I wanted to try these after my wife has purchased and been very satisfied with her Mirages.

Right off the bat first thing you'll notice is the flex on the back while retaining rigidity and support of its full highback. These things really grip the back of the boot; the flex helps with that very well. The straps are comfortable; with adjustment they both fit very well with the toe strap properly fitting around my toe end. I have not had any slippage in this binding whatsoever.

The only thing I worried about is the flex in the back as many folks suggested a rigid binding for a beginner, but I cannot be happier. They're very responsive regardless and perform very well. Unless something radical happens, I don't see going to a different binding any time soon.

ski co. cant make board stuff ?....HA..!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i bought a set of these last year and ended up benching the shimano trippers.
i teamed them with the malmute boots, can u get better combo for powder ?
i seriosuly doubt it.
light , high FULL back with plenty of support and comfort, stiff as u cud ever need a binding to be , but offering that delightfull ease on yr achieles when u got all day long.
easy ,qucik to strap into and they positively DONT slip around. the new ergo toe strap is "adequate" it never stays around the end of the toes, so i just pop it over the top, matters not 1 iota.
adjustabilty is tops. they look great and best of all when u give them a solid pounding ,they dont even twinge a muscle. i wont even be looking at anything else for a "few seasons"
absolutely sensational bindings for anything u cad ask of them
