Description

Unrivaled response and comfort you can feel instantly.

The instant you drop in with your feet strapped into the Salomon Hologram Snowboard Binding, all your preconceived notions of how a binding should feel will be shattered. The ShadowFit system provides a combination of flex, response, and comfort that you never knew was possible.

The ShadowFit baseplate features a Kevlar® QuickWire heelcup, which replaces the traditional rigid heelcup with a flexible one that truly conforms to your boot when you crank down the straps. This not only makes it more comfortable and allows you to tweak harder, but it also increases response because of the continuous contact with the heel of your boot and the Kevlar wire running through it. The hologram highback features the an ergonomic shape and flex to create a seamless connection between your boot and the highback.

Air Bed air bags in the heel work alongside the dual-density EVA footbed to cushion your foot from big drops and reduce vibrations when you're hauling ass. 3D Asym Supreme ankle straps provide pressure point-free comfort and the Lock-In toe strap wraps around the toe of your boot to ensure it never slips.

Hi, I'm keen to get some Holograms, but I need them in large (and preferably in the red/black colour). Any chance of them being re-stocked soon?

Hey Jack,

With the winter season quickly coming to an and it doesn't look like we will be seeing a restock of these bindings anytime soon.

at last... an XLT repalcement

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

i didnt think, there cud be a repalcement for the XLT.
those beauties are (were..!) still on my dupraz 5'5. then on sat, straight out of the box i popped the lime green yellow holograms on my 2007 160 burotn fish and took it out in a mix of packed cold new snow and nice calf deep pow. for a full day of absolute bliss. the high back fits so perfectly its like its not even there. i dont remeber feeling it what so ever the entire day. the toe strap isFINALLY.......... FINALLY usefull, it actually stays atop your toe, with no weight what so ever its perrect.
the heel strap, while abit bigger , thicker and meatier than a lot of others. does its job perfeclty u dont move. i have the malamuts boots nad i wont ever consider anything else, and they are THE perfect match, the high back while aparently NOT super stiff, didnt move an inch on the hard packed pow and was simply perfection i n the deeper stuff.
didnt take long to tweek these. just a simple screw of the new wratchet style screws and i was a way comfortable as anything ive ever worn. i wont be gettign these off any time soon
the highest rating ican issue ....consisder issued.
just perfect.

Good Binding Poor Customer Support

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Wow I never realized how unique Burton Rider Services is in the industry. No one at DogFunk or Salomon USA (the snowboard support specialist) could tell me how anything on this binding worked. Shades of the old days when riders bitched about big chain stores. Must be a reality of the times but Burton stands way ahead of the pack like Apple. Definitely factors into my spending choices. I'm sending these back and buying some Cartels. DogFunk and Salomon "fail" in today's marketplace. You have to have some semblance of "rider services" or technical support.
