Hop on the Salomon Sick Stick Snowboard and shred the backcountry with a bonafide eco-warrior under your boots. Part of Salomon’s G.I.F.T project, the Sick Stick replaces nasty petroleum-based materials with lightweight, renewable bamboo that's snappier than a pair of fighting turtles and keeps the pandas happy. This tapered directional twin floats like a dream in pow, still holds meaty turns on hardpack thanks to Salomon's quadratic edge shaping, and sports a Popster core that feels more active than a hyper 7-year old on a sugar binge. The sintered 4000 base leaves no doubt about whether or not this board can dust any Sport Utility Snowboard, and with Wolle Nyvelt on board, you know the Sick Stick is no flaccid leaf blower.

Bottom Line: Get sick without the oil slick.

A little late to the Q.. but for anyone else with the same/similar Q.. Due to this boards design and shape it is meant to be ridden in smaller sizes that you would normally go for in a pow board, so I would say that a 163 would be just fine. I weigh just shy of 80 kgs and I think the 163 might even be too big for me, but you can never have too much float.

that sounds about right but if it doesn't work out backcountry has a great return policy.

I ride this stick in a 163 and have size 12 boot (Salomon f22) and I have never come close to catching a toe or heel, and I have thrown some pretty deep turns on super fast cords (believe it or not) on this board. Although most of my sick stick's time is spent in the powpow.

this will do fine! :-) that whole Wide Vs. Narrow boot size thing is really just a technicality and never presents a REAL problem, i got size 11 boots and rode a girls board for a day (long story)...according to the charts its WAY too narrow for me, but it worked awesome and my heels or toes never dragged. so this board will do fine...if drag (by some freak happening) is a problem, then you can pick up a pair of risers for bout 50 bucks that will eliminate drag completley (and add power to your turns to boot)

I'm sure you have already gotten a board by now. But to best answer this Q we would need to know more information. Info such as your location, riding style, experience, and so on.
