Unless you have longer than normal arms, you should be fine with the XL.

What an amazing experience buying a jacket from the states has been for me, an Aussie. Firstly, the jacket arrived from UTAH to Australia in 4 days, yes 4 days! AWESOME. Secondly, the jacket was exactly as described by Backcountry.com the fit is amazing. I am a small man, and the small size fits very well. I am 31 waist and the snow skirt is perfect. What an awesome awesome experience. FYI, in Australia this jacket would sell for $999

check it out, I am RETURNING an XL of this jacket. It was too big, so get ready to pick it up. I am 6' and 180 lbs, and it would fit if I liked things a little more baggy.
