Due to the Salomon Quest 110 Boot's innovative Hike & Ride system, you'll really be able to ride when you point the tips downhill after hours of climbing. If you want to ski the best backcountry lines as aggressively as you ski the resort, you need a boot that can get you where you want to go and keep up with you on the way down. The Quest 110 fits the bill.

  • A stiff flex of 110 provides the performance you demand when crushing backcountry lines
  • The Quest 110 has a 100mm last (for an average, medium-width foot)
  • The thermoformable My Custom Fit Performance Liner is designed with performance in mind so you get a one-of-a-kind fit that allows you to ski your best
  • The Biovent technology in the liner allows your feet to breath
  • The innovative Hike & Ride technology features a buckle on the back of the boot that enables a wide v-cuff in the inner shell to be opened for more comfortable hiking and touring, then closed for a strong back support and power transmission on the way down
  • The Contragrip extended rubber sole with interchangeable bi-material alpine pads provides traction on snow, rock, and ice

Great boot once dialed in

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had some trouble with these early in the seaon because I wasn't used to this stiffness and was finding my wide feet to be falling asleep. Dialed in the buckles and they started to kick ass. Started touring with them and got blisters the first few times just due to heel slip in walk mode, but figured that out and they have been super comfortable. Awesome boot overall, just some user error from inexperience with this boot style. Picked them up on for $270 last year. Couldn't be happier.

Salomon / Quest 110's

In my search for a high quality, comfortable, great all around boot, I found the Quest 110's. I just put them through a rigorous 4-day ski trip and they did not disappoint! They are extremely comfortable, easy to walk in (thanks to the Hike & Ride buckle on the back of the boot) and never had my feet hurting / feeling tired after 6 straight hours each day on the mountain. Also, if you are like me and hate how some boots are confining in the ankle (the idea that we are supposed to just accept the boot hinge to encroach on the inside of ski boots blows my mind), these boots provided the right support without the confinement. All in all, an extremely great boot and one that I would highly recommend. If it helps, I'm 5'10", 165 lbs, medium-width foot, advanced skier.
